Job Description
A renowned luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Sous Chef to join their award-winning culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine dining, detail-oriented, and thrives in a creative, high-standard kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Oversee stock control, hygiene, and kitchen administration Mentor junior chefs and ensure a positive, efficient work environment Requirements: Recognised culinary qualification Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a 5-star lodge or fine dining environment Strong leadership, organisation, and multitasking skills Excellent knowledge of modern plating and seasonal menu development Package: Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Live-in position with meals provided Incredible opportunity to grow within a leading luxury hospitality brand
