Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury boutique hotel in the Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional with a flair for fine pastries, desserts, and bakery items, who thrives in a high-end hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods. Develop seasonal menus and contribute to the culinary offering of the hotel. Maintain stock control, ordering, and rotation of pastry ingredients. Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff when required. Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Requirements: Relevant culinary qualification (pastry specialization preferred). Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a boutique hotel, luxury lodge, or fine-dining establishment. Strong creative and artistic skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management practices. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
