Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Material Planning: Analyse production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements. Forecast demand and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Production Coordination: Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust schedules based on capacity and customer demands. Ensure that all production activities are aligned with company goals and customer requirements. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues in the production process, minimizing downtime and delays. Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Communication: Serve as a liaison between different departments, including production, procurement, drawing office and sales, to facilitate smooth operations. Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory levels, and any potential issues. Data Analysis: Utilize planning software and tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Prepare reports and presentations for management to assist in strategic planning. Qualifications: Proven experience in planning and expediting within the steel service industry or a similar environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and skills. Proficiency in planning softwares. Understanding of steel processing and fabrication is a plus. Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a warehouse environment , including exposure to machinery and equipment. Must be a proactive and hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing operations in the steel service industry.
