Pay Information $2,416 per week About The Position ID: 73760122 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit Notes:* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * *Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contractUnitL&D/PP/MBMiscellaneous Info & Examples if Needed of L&D Beds 11 L&D of OR Suites 2 of triage beds 2 OB ED of Postpartum beds32 of births per day, per year1,350 Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines?Yes Required CertificationsBLS, NRP Required (C-EFM Certification prefered or recent AWHONN Intermediate EFM Course) Common diagnoses/Types of patientsInductions, Epidurals, Walk in Labors, Natural Labors, Water Births, Circulating in OB OR, Postpartum Moms & Babies, High Risk Antepartums, Women's Surgical. Experience or 'Must have' skills Are RNs required to titrate drips?Yes Common titratable &/or set rate dripsOxyotcin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate Charge Nurse/House SupervisorCharge RN & House Supervisor Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit?Yes, Surgical tech on 24/7. Student Nurse Interns (CNAs) on some shifts as well. OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7?OB Hospitalist on 24/7. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on 24/7. RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)N/A Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?Tele if needed, monitored by central monitor techs. Reviewed by ICU Charge. EFM SystemOBIX Shifts & , 3 12 hour shifts per week. 2 extra shifts in 6 weeks. Weekend RequirementYes. Every 3rd Weekend. Holiday RequirementYes. Every 3rd Holiday. Is there a call or standby requirement?Yes, staff placed on call if not needed. Must be avaiable within 30 minutes if placed on call. Floating RequirementsLDRP/Nursery Position, which works on L&D and Postpartum routinely and could float to NICU to task. Could float to house to sit or task. Scrub Color/Dress codeNavy blue scrubs or can change into hopsital scrubs. Unit/Department specific orientationOrientation shift on L&D and Mother Baby.
