Pay Information $2,173 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required License: Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NO CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED) Must-Have: Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias IV therapy and phlebotomy skills Blood product administration experience Central line care and management Description: The position involves caring for adults and geriatric patients. The focus is primarily on newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. The staffing ratio goal is 1:4, but may be 1:5 depending on unit needs. Variable weekend shifts will be based on unit requirements. No set or blocked scheduling; self-scheduling requests will be accepted. Orientation will include a first week of days with a preceptor. There is a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols. Additional responsibilities include patient falls prevention. Experience with computerized charting systems is required. Familiarity with monitoring equipment and specialized procedures is essential. Interdisciplinary support is available through multiple services. Candidates must prioritize effective communication regarding abnormal lab values.
