Job Description Job Description Key responsibilities · Tenant relations: Respond to tenant inquiries and complaints, and assist with lease signings and renewals. · Financial management: Help with collecting and processing rent payments, managing accounts receivable, and preparing financial reports. · Maintenance coordination: Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs, and manage custodial staff. · Leasing and marketing: Market vacant units, show properties to prospective tenants, and process applications and new leases. · Administrative support: Handle general clerical duties, maintain resident and applicant files, and assist with creating reports and invoices. · Property inspections: Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Required skills and qualifications · Experience: Previous experience in property management or a related field, with some roles requiring 1-2 years of experience. · Education: A high school diploma or GED is often required, while an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. · Technical skills: Proficiency with basic office software and property management software, such as Yardi. · Interpersonal skills: Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities. · Organizational skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. · Compliance knowledge: Understanding of fair housing laws and regulations. · Other: A valid driver's license may be necessary, as is the ability to pass a background check.
