Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Supply Chain Manager who can serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution across complex client engagements. In this role, you will own multi-stakeholder projects end to end, translating strategic vision into executable workplans and relentlessly driving to lasting outcomes. You are someone who plans the work and works the plan. You build clear roadmaps with dependencies and critical paths, anticipate risks before they materialize, and set and enforce deadlines with professional accountability. You thrive in fast-paced environments and overcome obstacles through what we call "creative, resourceful nagging": persistent follow-up, smart escalation, and arriving with options rather than just problems. Responsibilities: Own complex, cross-functional client projects from diagnosis through implementation, serving as the leader who drives outcomes Design and implement scalable operational systems and processes, understanding how changes propagate across people, process, data, and technology Lead comprehensive operational assessments, identifying opportunities and prioritizing initiatives based on business impact Build models and conduct data analysis to quantify impact; define success metrics upfront and create lightweight instrumentation to track progress Provide expert guidance on supply chain optimization, inventory management, manufacturing processes, and logistics Produce executive-ready deliverables: concise briefs, RACI matrices, implementation plans, and board-level readouts that connect metrics to risks, costs, and next moves Mentor leads and provide technical guidance across projects Spot talent and process gaps early and propose fixes Document best practices, methodologies, and case studies to enhance Pelagic's knowledge base Qualifications: Required Experience: 4 years in operations, supply chain management, consulting, or program management Strong project/program management background coordinating multiple moving parts, owners, and timelines (not just certification or title) Has lived through material company change: fast growth or contraction, navigating ambiguity, reprioritization, and resource constraints Exposure to both scales: at least one large enterprise experience (1,000 employees) for stakeholder polish and process rigor, plus scale-up or turnaround experience for scrappy execution Supply chain familiarity required; CPG experience strongly preferred Core Competencies: Decision hygiene: Frame options with implications, recommend a path, and move forward; avoid analysis paralysis Systems thinking: Understand how operational changes cascade and design pragmatic guardrails Zoom range: Navigate fluidly between tactical execution and strategic leadership Translational fluency: Convert technical detail into business impact and vice versa Creative, resourceful problem-solving: Persistent follow-up via multiple channels; arrive with options ("I tried A/B/C; proposing D"); commitment to real outcomes Who You Are: Calm under pressure; thrives in ambiguity; bias to action Ownership mindset; low-ego collaborator; coachable High standards with humility; gives and incorporates feedback Ethical, candid, and reliable Executive-ready communication: concise, structured, typo-free writing; clear storytelling; can handle tough rooms Relationship builder who maintains professionalism while driving accountability Comfortable with enterprise environments including exec comms, vendor management, and board-level updates Nice-to-Haves: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field required Consulting experience (problem structuring, hypothesis-driven analysis) Experience with operational technology systems, ERP implementations, or digital transformation initiatives Vendor selection/implementation experience (WMS/TMS/ERP or adjacent systems) The Details: Remote | Full-Time | Competitive Compensation Performance-Based Growth Opportunities How to Apply: Send an email to recruiting@pelagic.co with: 1️⃣ Your resume a short introduction explaining why this role excites you. 2️⃣ If shortlisted, you’ll complete a simulation task. 3️⃣ Final candidates will have a live interview with our executive team.
