Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: DH Specialty: MRI Duration: Permanent Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 24 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Client license required Certifications: - BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire. - IV certification preferred or to be completed within 6 months of orientation. - MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly. - Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT). - Must obtain ARRT MR certification within 1 year of hire date. Must-Have: - Must graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. - Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. - Flu vaccines required with no exemptions. Description: Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Assists radiologists when needed. Prepares, operates, and cares for the equipment being used. Adheres to established standards of care. Pursues appropriate continuing education. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and duties. Adheres to established customer service programs. Performs other duties as assigned, such as quality assurance. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care.
