Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: DH Specialty: MRI Duration: Full Time Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours per week Experience: Must graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. License: N.Y.S. license required. Certifications: BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: - Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT). - ARMRIT must become ARRT MR certified within 1 year of hire date. - IV certification preferred or must be completed by the end of 6-months orientation. - MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly. - Flu vaccines required with no exemptions. - Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Description: Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Assists radiologists when needed. Prepares, operates, and cares for the equipment being used. Adheres to established standards of care. Pursues appropriate continuing education. Assumes responsibility for assigned area and duties. Adheres to established customer service programs. Performs other duties as assigned, such as quality assurance. Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedures. Provides patient care.
