Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Radiology Duration: Full Time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required Certifications: Certification through ARRT-RT and/or registered RT (R) Must-Have: - Graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program - Continuing education requirements to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies - BLS certification through the American Heart Association required or must be completed within 90 days of hire - DOH IV certification preferred or obtained by completion of 6-month orientation - Clienttion dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology will be performed during the orientation process Description: The Radiologic Technologist will work under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator and/or designee. Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Adheres to customer service programs. Performs other duties as assigned, such as quality assurance. Performs diagnostic and some special procedure medical radiographic images. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. This position will require travel to various ambulatory practices.
