Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Rad Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: Full-time Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required Certifications: Certification through ARRT-RT and/or registered RT (R) Must-Have: Graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program Description: The Radiologic Technologist will work under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator and/or designee. Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Adheres to hospital-wide customer service programs. Performs other duties as assigned, such as quality assurance. Performs diagnostic and some special procedure medical radiographic images. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. This position will require travel to various ambulatory practices. Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 CE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth. DOH IV certification preferred or to be completed during the orientation period. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire. Clienttion dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology will be performed during the orientation process and before the end of the probationary period.
