Air import team leader 4 on 4 off days

Were recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and expanding logistics company near Heathrow, for an experienced Airfreight Operations Team Leader (Imports). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced airfreight professional to step into a leadership role managing a small, dynamic team while remaining hands-on with daily operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a small airfreight import team to deliver high-quality service. Manage import shipments end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure adherence to ETSF procedures and HMRC/BF regulations. Coach, mentor, and develop team members. Conduct regular team meetings and communicate updates effectively. Collaborate with Transport, Warehouse, and Customs departments. Maintain and audit shipment data, documentation, and compliance records. Key Skills 35 years experience in airfreight import operations (essential). Strong knowledge of customs procedures, ETSF & HMRC regulations. Previous team leader/supervisory experience (preferred). Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and logistics systems. 4 on 4 off days
