Job Description

As part of the Retail Merchandising team, the Business & Demand Planner plays a pivotal role in optimizing retail performance through strategic sales planning, demand forecasting, and stock management. This role bridges analytical insight and commercial strategy, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time to maximize sales and profitability across all regions and channels. Sales & Demand Planning · Drive the sales planning process, consolidating global sales targets by category and ensuring alignment with overall business and financial objectives. · Develop Open-To-Buy (OTB) construction prior to each showroom, coordinating central and regional teams while meeting deadlines. · Build and maintain demand forecasts by category, region, and channel based on sales trends, market insights, and merchandising strategies. · Identify and analyze gaps between forecasted demand and business performance, proposing adjustments to secure management validation. · Lead monthly forecast review and demand alignment meetings with key stakeholders (Merchandising, Retail, Finance). Performance Analysis & Reporting · Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly retail performance (sell-out, sell-through, stock levels, and rotations) across regions and product categories. · Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key retail KPIs, stock health, and product efficiency. · Provide analytical insights to support replenishment, markdown, and assortment optimization strategies. · Support the preparation of management presentations, and strategic reports. Inventory & Product Lifecycle Management · Monitor inventory health and propose actions to optimize stock levels and sell-through (transfers, reorders, markdowns, or product swaps). · Manage the phase-out process for end-of-life products. Process & Tools Optimization · Maintain and continuously improve forecasting models, reporting systems, and data accuracy. · Collaborate with IT, and Finance to enhance planning tools (Power BI, ERP systems). · Contribute to the evolution of planning processes, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs. · Ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems and reports. Profile · 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, business analysis, or merchandising planning, ideally within the fashion or luxury industry. · Strong analytical, numerical, and strategic thinking skills. · Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting and BI tools · Detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights. · Excellent cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills. · Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and business acumen. · Fluent in English
