Strengthen Honda's relationships with existing Dealers and Customers and establish new ones. Develop and improve sales channels (including commercial sales), achieve targets and monitor/develop/mentor employees by asserting strong leadership Develop, build and lead a cohesive high performing marine team. How you'll make an impact Effectively manage and develop the Marine team to ensure all targets are met and relationships with the Dealer Network, OEM's and Commercial are strengthened. Develop and present for approval Sales Campaigns to stimulate wholesale and retail sales within budget. Engage with the Marketing Department on Integrated Marketing Communication strategy, brand initiatives and presence. Establish and monitor expense budgets for Marine Department. Regularly review Dealer sales performance ensuring Honda is obtaining targeted business share against key competitors. Develop Dealer network ensuring achievement of Honda sales targets, whilst maintaining a high level of Customer satisfaction. Ensure TM's review and update Dealers store image ensuring Honda has an acceptable level of exposure whilst meeting Corporate Identification Standards. Regularly review Dealer pricing and implement pricing strategies within profit policy. Lead the reporting process ensuring accurate sales forecasting, whilst strictly remaining within inventory levels in accordance with inventory Management Policy. Ensure Marine Pre-Rig inventory is correctly managed within company policy. This also includes obtaining Customer, TM and Dealer feedback to ensure we source and sell high quality Pre-Rig components that will complement the Honda outboards. Review campaign and other customer or dealer related rebates. Visit and work in the field with TMs on a regular basis including attendance at Boat Shows etc. Develop new sales channels to ensure sustainable growth whilst ensuring cohesion with existing Marine dealer network including commercial operations. Set and review each TM performance against target (Sales targets, call cycle, relationship management, expense control, PDCA management). Actively rotate the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) process to ensure all sales activities are well controlled and countermeasures developed for any variances. Be responsible for the design and coordination and of reports and other information required by RBMs to assist them in the day to day running of their territories. Develop and Coordinate Marine Dealer Sales Training with Technical Training Department and Training service providers. Collect customer/market and competitor information and analysis of same. Distribute appropriate information to other staff within Honda. Complete and present monthly Managers Report ensuring accuracy and detail of sales result causes. Review actual expenditure against budget monthly and report on variances. Develop and maintain Position Descriptions as required for Employees within the Department/Section. Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of Employees via Employee meetings, written communications and one-on-one communication to promote teamwork. Attend regular departmental meetings to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
