Sr QA Test Engineer- Selenium

Overview Carrier Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our web applications and software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in QA strategies, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product enhancements. Build and expand automated test suites using tools like Selenium for web applications. Conduct both manual and automated testing , including functional , regression , and performance testing (e.g., using JMeter ). Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear and testable. Quickly gain a strong understanding of business and domain-specific requirements to ensure complete test coverage. Provide timely, data-driven feedback on product quality, and report and track issues using Jira . Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Analyze performance reports (e.g., load and sound performance) to identify potential issues proactively. Apply strong understanding of QA strategy to improve organizational quality outcomes. Identify common QA pitfalls and recommend effective preventive solutions. Write scripts, develop test cases, and work independently to ensure robust test coverage. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or related field (preferred). 4 years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience. Strong understanding of software testing principles , methodologies, and techniques. Proven experience testing web applications using Selenium (automation) and JMeter (performance). Familiarity with HTML , CSS , JavaScript , and RESTful APIs . Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent analytical , communication , and collaboration abilities. ISTQB or similar QA certification (preferred). Ability to craft detailed test cases and effectively communicate testing strategies and results. Ideal Candidate Profile A problem solver who anticipates potential issues before they arise.
