Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: Temporary (8 weeks) Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State Licensed Certifications: ARRT N, BLS, NMTCB Must-Have: - Proficient in starting and maintaining peripheral IVs. - Knowledge of storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials. - Experience with electronic documentation systems, preferably EPIC. Description: We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to assist with PET/MRI imaging. This position involves working Monday through Friday, with potential for weekend shifts. The average daily census for this role is 13 patients. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Duties include closing quality control of the hot lab, starting IVs, and performing glucose tests for FDG exams. The technologist will also assist in setting up patients for PET/MRI exams and managing patient transitions. Handling of radioactive materials will be part of the job, including FDG, Amyvid, Dotatate, and others. Experience in working with research doses is preferred. Candidates must be knowledgeable in drawing venous blood and maintaining infection control precautions. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population with various neurological disorders.
