We’re looking for a Assistant Buyer (Footwear) to join us on that journey. This role is about more than just day-to-day responsibilities, it’s about shaping how we inspire our customers, support our stores, and grow our community of adventurers. We’re currently based in Kemble but will be moving to central Swindon in Spring 2026 - just a short walk from the train station and the new bus boulevard. What you’ll be doing Supportting the Buyer with seasonal planning, reviews, and presentations Assisting in developing and delivering the buying strategy to drive profitable growth Building supplier relationships and negotiating to secure strong prices and margins Monitoring sales performance and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product, marketing, and visual plans align Managing samples, preparing for photoshoots, and supporting range sign-offs Conducting store visits, supplier meetings, and attending trade fairs as required Deputising for the Buyer when needed We’re looking for someone who Has experience as an Assistant Buyer across multiple categories Brings strong commercial awareness and insight into the outdoor and running footwear market Is analytical, creative, and proactive, with excellent negotiation and communication skills Is confident using Excel and PowerPoint, and manages time and priorities effectively Is a resilient, collaborative team player who can influence others and drive product innovation Has a genuine passion for running or the outdoors What you’ll get from us Joining our team means more than just getting paid a salary, it’s about being part of a workplace that values you, your growth and your wellbeing.
