Painter & Decorator - Tiverton Painter & Decorator Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue, Tiverton Job Description Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue has 69 spacious bedrooms, flexible conference and banqueting suites, for up to 200, and a popular bar and Gallery restaurant. The hotel is in a unique setting in Mid-Devon. The Role of Painter & Decorator We have an opportunity for a Painter & Decorator to join the team to keep the hotel looking its best as we act as custodians of a unique and beautiful listed building built in 1760. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for working in partnership with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Assistant and the wider team to ensure that the hotel is in a great condition and supports making a memorable experience for our guests. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the hotel is looking well cared for and that all tasks are carried out to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and that the hotel is welcoming for all our guests and team. The successful candidate will forge a great rapport with colleagues of all levels and guests that they come into contact with. The role of Painter & Decorator will report to the Maintenance Manager, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about using their skills and making a difference and delivering a great service in terms of maintenance but also great customer service. This role is ideal for someone who has strong painting & decorating experience skills with great communication and time management who is able to work under their own initiative. Job Overview: As a Painter & Decorator, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the hotel's appearance, ensuring a high standard of presentation and ambiance for guests. Your responsibilities will include painting, wallpapering, and general decorative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a painter & decorator, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting. Strong knowledge of painting techniques, wallpaper application, and surface preparation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship. Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
