Job Description
Are you passionate about keeping complex data ecosystems running smoothly? We are looking for a Data Operations Engineer to join our growing technology team. Someone who loves diving into SQL, optimising database performance, and ensuring data services run reliably across cloud and on-prem environments. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our enterprise data platforms, working closely with architecture, development, and analytics teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-performing data operations. What you will be doing: Administer and maintain relational databases (SQL Server / Snowflake). Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures . Manage Snowflake roles, warehouses, and data sharing configurations . Support data integrations via SFTP and REST APIs . Automate routine operational tasks using PowerShell or Bash scripting . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data delivery and platform stability. Work within ITIL frameworks (incident, change, problem management). Support ongoing data improvement initiatives across cloud and BI environments. What we are looking for: Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases . Exposure to Snowflake , ideally including administrative functions. Knowledge of data operations , automation , and ITIL processes . Familiarity with SFTP, REST APIs , and data exchange best practices. Experience working with AWS or Azure data services . Comfort with PowerShell, Bash , or similar scripting languages. Familiarity with Power BI or Business Objects is an advantage. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Why join us? Competitive salary (£50–55k) plus package.
