Production Planner

Role: Production Planner Location: Retford Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE An established leader in the design and manufacture of innovative water management and environmental engineering solutions is seeking a proactive Assistant Production and Inventory Planner to join its busy Production and Assembly team. Working within a dynamic manufacturing environment, you’ll play a key role in coordinating production schedules, supporting procurement, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials from design through to fabrication. This role offers the opportunity to build in-depth knowledge of unique mechanical and electrical products, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Production & Assembly in developing and maintaining production schedules. Liaise with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components. Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage part requirements across assemblies. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, proactively resolving supply or production challenges. Collaborate with Warehouse, Design, and Project teams to align schedules and priorities. Maintain accurate records and data across internal systems. About You: Strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail. Ability to read engineering drawings; experience with CAD is advantageous. Confident IT user, particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook. Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a forward-thinking, hands-on engineering business.
