This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the UKs leading construction materials suppliers, where youll play a key role in building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving commercial success. What youll be doing: Managing a portfolio of existing customers while developing new relationships to expand market share. Working as part of a small internal sales team to achieve sales and margin targets. Using business systems like Salesforce and E1 to track projects, opportunities, and customer interactions efficiently. Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities through direct engagement and networking. Collaborating with internal teams including logistics, technical, and customer service to ensure seamless delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction. Monitoring market activity, competitor performance, and pricing trends to inform strategy and maximise profitability. Managing quotes, tenders, and contracts accurately to ensure compliance and high standards of service. Acting as a brand ambassador for Aggregate Industries, promoting our full product range and innovative sustainable solutions. What were looking for: A proven background in sales or account management, ideally within the construction materials, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with experience managing complex workloads. Confident using CRM systems (Salesforce experience desirable) and capable of managing sales pipelines effectively. A motivated and proactive approach, with a track record of hitting targets and driving growth. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain lasting professional relationships.
