Project Manager – Civils Package (Data Centre Project) Location: Newport Salary: c. £90,000 Benefits Overview A leading main contractor is delivering a major data centre development in Newport and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package. This is a high-profile, fast-paced project requiring strong leadership, excellent coordination skills, and proven experience managing complex infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities Lead the successful delivery of the civils and infrastructure package from mobilisation through to handover. Manage daily site operations, ensuring the programme, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. Coordinate closely with design teams, commercial teams, and subcontractors to drive progress. Oversee procurement input, subcontractor management, and progress reporting. Review technical documentation, method statements, sequencing, and temporary works. Identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and ensure robust project controls. Represent the project professionally with stakeholders, maintaining strong communication at all levels. Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor Strong background in civils / infrastructure delivery, ideally within data centres, pharma, or other high-spec, mission-critical environments. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, utilities, concrete structures, and associated civils works. Ability to manage demanding programmes and deliver within tight deadlines.
