Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for an Environmental Permitting Co-ordinator to work with there client Southern Water. Location: Sussex Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time (37 hours/week) Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annum Are you passionate about the environment and ready to make a difference? This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our organisation's operations are compliant with environmental regulations. What You’ll Do: In this pivotal role, you will: Act as the principal environmental permitting liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Natural England. Negotiate and secure necessary environmental permits, consents, and licenses in Sussex, enabling us to effectively manage our wastewater and water supply activities. Keep the business informed of new permit conditions by updating our permit management system. Provide expert advice on permitting matters to various stakeholders. Represent our organisation at regional and national meetings, advocating for our interests with regulators. About You: To thrive in this role, you will need: An Environmental Degree (or relevant qualification). Strong negotiation and communication skills. Experience liaising and negotiating with environmental regulators. A knack for simplifying complex regulatory issues. Excellent verbal reasoning skills and numeracy, coupled with competent IT skills. Ideally, you will have experience in the water or environmental sector, particularly in wastewater and waste management.
