Responsibilities Work in an 18-bed hospital Medical Surgical unit specializing in stable adult, cardiac, and neuro patients Patient population includes general med/surg cases, cardiac patients on antiarrhythmic drips, and neuro patients post-TIA/CVA Unit serves Inpatient, Observation, and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) patients from ED or direct admissions Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Float to other med/surg departments or ED waiting room as needed, with travelers prioritized to float Uses Epic EMR, remote and wall mount telemetry, bladder scanner, vein light, and iPop RNs will maintain antiarrhythmic medication drips, insulin drips for DKA, and perform NIHSS assessments Responsibilities include working closely with a multidisciplinary care team and facilitating discharges and throughput First time travelers are accepted Block scheduling and holiday time off are not guaranteed Dress code requires hunter green scrubs Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions Return staff are eligible after 6 months Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum two years of RN experience in a med/surg setting Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required Telemetry experience preferred ACLS (AHA) preferred References required for consideration Proof of flu vaccination or exemption required Completion of non-billable online modules during orientation and annually Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634858.
