HGV Class 2 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Swindon, Wiltshire.This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for long-term growth and progression. Shifts Monday to Friday Start times between 05:00am – 06:00am (until finish) Rates of Pay £16.34 per hour based on 40 hour a week, permanent salary £34,000 Benefits Excellent hourly rates Weekly pay Ongoing, consistent work Immediate starts available Employee well-being programme Supportive and friendly working environment Day-to-Day Duties Delivering timber products to commercial and residential customers Operating and driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded, secured, and delivered safely Adhering to all UK traffic laws and site safety procedures Communicating effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills Valid UK Category C Driving Licence Minimum of 2 year's experience driving Category C vehicles Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only) Good spoken and written English Excellent timekeeping and reliability Strong understanding of UK transport laws and regulations Effective communication and customer service skills Desirable Experience Previous commercial driving experience Experience delivering timber or building materials Training Provided Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
