Your Role Join our Operational Risk team and play a key role in strengthening risk management across the Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) Division. As a Consultant, Operational Risk, you’ll contribute to the efficient and effective oversight of operational risk, working closely with business owners to identify, manage, mitigate, and report risks in alignment with IAG’s Risk Management Strategy, Framework, and Appetite Statement. This role is instrumental in uplifting risk maturity and enhancing the operational risk culture across the division. You’ll be a visible advocate for continuous improvement, helping to embed best practices and drive meaningful change. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate with influence across the organisation to support improvements in business operations and risk culture. This is a permanent position, open to candidates based in Australia. About You Proven experience in risk management within the general insurance or financial services industry, with exposure to complianceStrong business acumen and analytical thinking, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective, business-aligned solutionsPassionate about professional growth, self-aware, and committed to continuous developmentConsultative and courageous in approach, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to speak up and challenge constructivelyGlobal perspective and understanding of international business challenges, with the ability to apply this knowledge across diverse situationsWell-informed on current trends and developments within the insurance industryHolds tertiary qualifications in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field Applications close Monday 20 October, 23:59pm AEDT.
