The Role We’re looking for a detail-driven and customer-focused Settlements Officer to join our Mortgages Operations team in Parramatta. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing loan settlements with precision and care, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a great experience for our customers and partners. Here's what a typical day could look like: Managing Settlements: Check certifications, loan documents, and funding details to ensure smooth and successful settlements. Delivering Customer Excellence: Provide “best in class” service to internal and external customers, resolving issues with care and professionalism. Handling Documentation: Ensure instructions to panel lawyers are accurate and incoming documents are complete. Ensuring Compliance: Identify anomalies in line with AML legislation and meet regulatory requirements across geographies. Supporting the Team: Share knowledge, distribute workload fairly, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Driving Progress: Monitor milestones and ensure timely movement through the settlement process. About You You’re someone who brings accuracy, initiative, and a strong customer service ethic to everything you do. You’re confident working with systems, love solving problems, and enjoy being part of a supportive team. Experienced in Settlements: You’ve worked in a similar role and understand the ins and outs of loan settlements. Detail-Oriented: You’re meticulous with documentation and confident managing compliance requirements. Customer-Focused: You’re passionate about delivering great service and resolving issues with empathy. Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable using systems and technology to get the job done. Team Player: You bring positive energy to the team and support collective goals. Compliance-Aware: You understand the regulatory environment and know how to navigate it.
