Business Banking meets the unique financial needs and services of a range of business customers, from micro business to small corporate, and the needs of our broking and premium personal customers. Small Business Banking provides a comprehensive range of services to the Banks small business clients. These clients are defined as having aggregated debt facilities of less than $3 million for business with turnover up to $30m. The objective of Small Business Banking is to provide customised products and services for clients with commercial finance and wealth management needs. The Broker team within Small Business Banking is responsible for originating and executing the full range of financing needs of accredited broker sourced clients' financing. Position & Purpose To lead and coach Acquisition and Portfolio 'Relationship Executives' with the long-term objective of delivering optimal outcomes for both the Bank and the Customer. The role will also involve assisting with structuring of debt transactions for corporate and business customers so that we deliver a positive client experience and meet required Bank revenue returns. The role requires an effective understanding and impact of the Bank's policies, systems and processes and the impact on the customer. Your Team The Broker team is responsible for originating and executing the full range of financing needs of accredited broker sourced clients' financing. Your Role Lead a team of bankers dedicated to the execution, relationship management, arrangement, structuring and pricing of Broker sourced commercial lending transactions - to drive outperformance in customer & financial outcomes Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal business partners Partner with the Originations State Manager to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key broker business intermediaries and individual nominees. Provide input to and take responsibility for implementation of relevant strategic initiatives to position the Bank to be Australia's finest financial services organisation through excelling in customer service Provide advice and assistance to direct reports on the development of strategies to structure non-routine credit proposals. Make business improvement recommendations to Executive Manager and contribute to the design and implementation of improved service and sales processes. Contribute to the training and development of the skill base of colleagues and in particular relationship management staff. Apply leadership and/or team membership behaviour consistent with the Bank's leadership principles and support the Bank's vision and culture of excelling in customer service. Apply CBA's people management systems to effectively manage such issues as occupational health and safety, recruiting and on boarding new staff, setting KRA's and KPI's, creating development plans, supervising work, providing feedback formally and informally, carrying out disciplinary procedures when necessary, recognising and rewarding staff, etc. Identify, manage and assess the risks that could prevent BASS from achieving its strategies. Plan and execute risk mitigating procedures. On a regular basis, report and discuss the results of risk management performed within the team Ensure that you, and any team members under your direct leadership, comply with the Group's Occupational Health and Safety policy, all other internal Group policies and procedures, and any relevant external legislative requirements.
