Requirements for this role: Looking for candidates available to work: Mon morning Mon afternoon Mon evening Tue morning Tue afternoon Tue evening Wed morning Wed afternoon Wed evening Thu morning Thu afternoon Thu evening Fri morning Fri afternoon Fri evening Sat morning Sat afternoon Sat evening Sun morning Sun afternoon Sun evening Expected salary: $32 - $38 per hour - Food Preparation and Cooking: - Prepare, cook, and present dishes within the assigned section to meet the restaurant’s standards. - Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and specifications, maintaining quality and consistency. - Management of Section: - Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices, in your section. - Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order. - Menu and Recipe Development: - Contribute to the design and development of the menu and collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on new dishes. - Suggest improvements to existing recipes and methods. - Quality Control: - Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure quality standards are upheld. - Conduct regular checks on food storage, preparation areas, and equipment. - Health and Safety Compliance: - Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring that the kitchen meets health and safety compliance at all times. - Report any maintenance or safety issues to management immediately. - Inventory Management: - Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen. - Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience. - Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
