What you need to know Working at IKEA has its benefits and rewards: · Leave entitlements – 5 weeks Paid Annual, Paid Parental, Family & Community and much more · 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support · 15% Co-worker discount · Low-cost nutritious meals including complimentary drinks in our Co-worker restaurant · Co-worker uniform provided · Free Co-worker parking · Free benefits membership (savings and discounts on everyday expenses, entertainment, retail and well-being offers across hundreds of retailers and service providers). · Bonus programme (where eligible) · Co-worker Loyalty programme (extra contribution to your superannuation fund where eligible) Additional information: · This role is permanent, full-time 76hrs/fortnight · The internal title for this role is Visual Merchandising/ Activity Co-worker · You will need the availability to work a range of hours between 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs). · Final candidates will be required to obtain a valid National Police Check About this work area As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. · Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home. · Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition. · Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea. · Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently. · Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties. Who you are As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker you are: · Passionate the work of implementing your designs from a sketch into reality, as you are a practical and hands on individual, with proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. · Curious, and driven to understand home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles. · A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics. · A competent team player that has excellent communication skills. · Experienced with programs such as REVIT, preferred but not essential. Having a Design qualification, previous Visual Merchandising experience and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office is preferred.
