The Financial Operations (R2R) team is responsible for the Record to Report, ‘R2R’, function for Consumer Australia and Optus Enterprise. This team is also accountable for Interconnect settlements and Retail Finance Operations. The Consumer Operations Finance team, led by the Associate Director, Consumer Finance Operations, is accountable for ensuring that Financial and Customer related data is appropriately captured within SAP to comply with Accounting and International Standards, supports Optus, Singtel and Management and Regulatory reporting requirements and analysis, and is timely and accurate. This role is based in Macquarie Park - Sydney. Your day in the life of a Finance Analyst at Optus Running queries and SQL scripts providing inputs for the month end processes Running reports Update databases with masterdata and keeping mapping tables up to date Ensuring master data management processes are followed and controls are effective Raise purchase orders Calculate and process remits, answer non-remit queries, review remit claims and disputes, validate and decide outcome Monitor dealer remit dropboxes Finance subject matter expert for Pronto to work collaboratively with IT. Invoicing, rebate and credit note processing Manage vendor payments Liaison person with key external suppliers Non-financial data integrity reviews (eg usage data posted to SAP) What makes you perfect for the role? Degree qualified Accounting/Finance At least 2 years of experience in a finance / accounting role Strong SQL skills and ability to write new code and adapt existing code. Ability to work with large amounts of data Ability to work using various BI and analytics data visualization platforms Extensive ERP System/SAP knowledge Strong analytical ability and investigative skills Independent / Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership / responsibility Excellent time management and project management skills Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present complex issues in a concise and logical format. Ability to build strong customer relationships, Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personal styles and levels of management.
