Lives Lived Well offer a variety of community and residential Alcohol and Other Drug programs throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia, helping thousands of people every year to navigate AOD related challenges and move forward in life. A new Residential AOD Treatment Facility designed to deliver high-quality, specialist residential AOD treatment services for adults aged 18 years and over is opening in Ipswich. The centre will provide a total of 46 beds, comprising 36 beds for residential rehabilitation and 10 beds for withdrawal management and care. Your OpportunityThe Cultural Wellbeing Coordinator will lead culturally safe and responsive practices at our Ipswich adult residential rehabilitation and withdrawal service. You will work closely with the residents, staff and leadership team to ensure the facility is culturally safe and inclusive for both residents and staff. This is a full-time, permanent role based in on-site in Ipswich. The position is a SCHADS Level 4 role, paying $88,000k – 94,000k annually plus Superannuation and Salary Packaging up to $15,900 per year. Although the service will be operational late November 2025, we are looking for someone able to start in early November for training and induction. This is an identified position open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants, in recognition of the unique cultural knowledge and lived experience required to support our clients and communities. What we are looking forWith an identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background, you will bring your experience and knowledge to ensure our services are inclusive, respectful, and empowering for Indigenous clients navigating alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges. Key duties include:Supporting residents and team members by referring them to culturally appropriate services and wellbeing supportsProviding support to clients who are away from their home Country, ensuring they feel welcomed and culturally safe upon entering the facilityAdvising leaders on how to design and improve culturally safe and inclusive wellbeing programsSupporting residential staff to build their cultural capability through practical advice and guidanceStaying informed about local First Nations events and activitiesBuilding relationships with Aboriginal-controlled organisations to support cultural wellbeing initiativesLeading and supporting team wellbeing groups, such as the Yarning Group Yufla Yumplatok, to encourage connection and cultural sharing Most importantly you will have passion, commitment, and a great attitude with a genuine alignment to the Lives Lived Well values.
