Parts Interpreter

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to support our electric vehicle servicing operations. In this role, you will play an important part in identifying, sourcing, and supplying genuine BYD parts to our service technicians, customers, and trade partners. Your understanding of EV-specific components and systems will help ensure the smooth operation of our workshop and provide our customers with efficient, professional support. Position Overview As a Parts Interpreter, you will play a critical role in supporting our EV service operations. You'll work closely with service technicians, retail customers, and trade partners to identify, source, and supply genuine BYD parts and accessories. With strong product knowledge and a customer-first approach, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of our workshop and a premium service experience. Key Responsibilities Technical Parts Support Interpret parts manuals and diagrams for BYD electric vehicles Accurately identify parts using VIN numbers and vehicle specifications Provide technical parts advice to service technicians Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BYD EV components and systems Customer Service Assist retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries Process parts orders efficiently Explain parts functions and compatibility to non-technical customers Handle warranty claims and returns according to BYD policies Day-to-Day Operations Manage inventory levels and conduct stock checks Process incoming shipments and verify orders Maintain clean and organized parts storage area Use dealership management systems for ordering and tracking Additional Duties Collaborate with service department on special orders Stay current with BYD product updates and recalls Assist with cycle counts and inventory management Provide backup support for front counter operations Qualifications 2 years experience in automotive parts interpretation Knowledge of EV components preferred (batteries, motors, charging systems) Strong computer skills with parts catalog systems Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams Valid driver's license If a passionate individual for motor vehicles and seeking a long-term career path, this would be a golden opportunity.
