Customer Service Officer (12 month contract)

About us An innovative and developing business, Aurora Construction Materials is one of Victoria’s leading producers of crushed rock, aggregates and concrete using predominantly recycled materials. To cover one of our team members soon to go on maternity leave, an exciting opportunity exists for a customer service superstar to be part of our Customer Service Centre team for the next twelve (12) months, based at Essendon Fields. What you’ll be doing Our customer service centre handles inbound and outbound queries from customers requiring concrete and quarry products. As the conduit between our customers and our production operations, the goal is to provide an excellent end to end customer experience for all our highly valued customers. Qualifications & experience Experience in a high-volume contact centre environment is preferred for this role but not essential Data Entry and Administration skills would be advantageous. Experience in the concrete industry is preferred for this role but not essential No formal qualifications required, all training will be provided on site Tasks & responsibilities Handling calls Processing customer orders and delivery requests Processing credit card transactions Supporting our quarry business with weighbridge customer service duties (travel to sites required) Overtime: We require staff who are able and willing to work (on average) an 8-10 hour shift, with flexibility to work additional hours when required. Shifts occur during the window of 5am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 5am to 2pm Saturday. Benefits Competitive hourly rate with overtime available (penalty rates payable). Small and supportive team (not a big call centre). Office located at Essendon Fields (parking available, tram close by, supermarket and cafes within 100m).
