Setting: Emergency Department (ER Holding/Overflow) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (December 16, 2025 – March 17, 2026) Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310 Self-scheduling: Available with manager approval Weekend Coverage: Required Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Trauma Level I experience preferred) Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in hand Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS EPIC charting experience preferred Ability to pass a telemetry test during orientation (score: 80% or higher) Skills in chest tube management, PCA pumps, phlebotomy, IV management, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations accepted) ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department Holding/Overflow unit Monitor and manage telemetry and observation patients Perform procedures including chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV starts, and phlebotomy Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC (preferred) Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare compliance requirements Worcester, MA is a top destination for healthcare professionals, offering a welcoming community, excellent dining, and access to outdoor activities.
