Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Details Location: Wilmington, NC (28401) – North Carolina nursing jobs Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Medical Telemetry Unit Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks Start Date: December 15, 2025 End Date: March 16, 2026 Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:45 - 19:15) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660-$1700 Patient Ratios: 1:6-7 Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per contract (every other weekend) Float Requirement: Required; may float within hospital or affiliate hospitals Orientation: 24 hours Scrubs: Navy Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown RN experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at time of start) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (required) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required) Must pass EKG testing prior to start Experience with Epic charting system preferred NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote cardiac monitoring Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, sheath removal, cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone), blood product administration, and central/PICC line management Comfortable floating to other nursing units as needed Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if scheduled Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac telemetry patients, including those with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization Monitor and manage cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, Diltiazem, etc.) Perform sheath pulls and manage TR Bands and Femstop devices Access ports, administer blood products, and manage central/PICC lines Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to rapid response/code situations Document care using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Float to other units as required, adapting to varying patient needs and unit protocols Participate in storm/hurricane team as needed during catastrophic events Discover the benefits of travel nursing jobs in Wilmington, NC—a welcoming community with a mild climate and abundant recreational activities.
