Interim Assistant Headteacher - Secondary School (North West) Start Date: January 2026 Duration: Two terms We are seeking an experienced and resilient Interim Assistant Headteacher to join a thriving secondary school in the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior leader who is passionate about inclusion and committed to making a positive impact on pupils' lives. Key Responsibilities Lead on inclusion, working closely with and line-managing a strong and experienced SENDCo. Safeguarding will be part of the responsibilities of the role, so previous experience as DSL would be preferable. Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families to support a positive school culture. Contribute to teaching and learning with a teaching commitment based on your subject expertise. What We're Looking For Proven leadership experience within a secondary school setting. Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusion strategies. DSL experience and a thorough understanding of safeguarding requirements. Resilience and adaptability to quickly integrate into the school community.
