Cover Supervisor

ANZUK Education is currently looking for reliable full time and part time cover supervisors to support a Secondary School in Newport. Job Description: As a teaching Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by their regular teacher. This role is crucial in maintaining continuity of learning and upholding the high standards of behaviour and academic achievement. The school is looking for consistency so in this case you would ideally be available 3-5 days a week. Should you have a subject preference or specialism this will be taken into account as the school can create a timetable for you. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring students complete the work set. Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies. Support students in understanding and completing the tasks set by their teachers. Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the appropriate staff member. Support the wider school community by participating in events and activities. Requirements: A degree is highly preferable Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
