Job Description

Join the Sydney Central Hotel Crew Sydney Central Hotel managed by The Ascott Limited, now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as our Purchasing & Accounts Officer . This full-time role will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with other departments. In this role you will be responsible for: Actioning all ordering, purchasing, receiving, storing and distribution of goods on behalf of the various hotel departments Communicating with staff and customers about invoicing and payments Ensuring all purchase requests are checked for compliance with policies and procedures Assisting in the procurement process with guidance from the Financial Controller. This may include obtaining quotes, making enquiries with suppliers as to availability, and following up on the delivery of outstanding items Sourcing items and placing orders as required Assisting to resolve invoicing and payment issues Working independently and/or with managers to search for alternate products if stock is unavailable Completing monthly stock take, manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and maintain cleanliness of the loading dock/receiving area Establishing strong relationships with suppliers To be successful in this role you must have: Experience in accounting or a degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, Business Studies or Administration, or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience. Previous experience using PurchasePlus (not essential) An ability to prioritize and manage expectations. A keen eye for detail An ability to work independently. The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company.
