The Role As a key member of the leadership team, you should work closely with the Principal to articulate a clear vision for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) team in line with established whole-school approaches. You would support teachers to strengthen their pedagogical breadth so they can deliver dynamic and engaging learning at the guided, supported, and independent practice stages. You will ideally develop others by mentoring your team with clear feedback and consistent follow-through. In balancing support with accountability, you will ideally keep the focus on improving student outcomes. In your capacity as curriculum leader experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level courses, or equivalent, and programming School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) aligned curriculum across contexts is highly regarded. Strong data literacy to analyse assessment information, guide improvements in teaching and learning and support staff to implement effective teaching and assessment cycles will also be beneficial. You should play a crucial role in leading the development of highly engaging curriculum with your team to increase interest in HaSS Senior School course offerings.
