Purchasing Officer – Temp to Perm Roster: 8/6 Start Date: Immediate Join a high-performing team supporting a major mining project in Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, detail-focused Purchasing Officer who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys seeing their work make a tangible impact on operations. About the Role You’ll be the key point of contact for purchasing activities—coordinating orders, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory systems, and ensuring everything runs like a well-lubricated conveyor belt. Your strong communication skills and problem-solving ability will help maintain efficiency while supporting site and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Raise and manage purchase orders for required materials and equipment Convert requisitions, monitor order progress, and maintain supplier communication Oversee goods receipting, storage, and any issue resolution Maintain accurate purchasing records and data integrity in internal systems Negotiate with suppliers within established frameworks and monitor supplier performance Apply Just-in-Time (JIT) principles to maintain optimum stock levels Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to on-site staff What You’ll Bring Based in Perth (Residential role only) Mining industry experience – essential High level of customer service and stakeholder engagement skills Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving abilities Excellent computer literacy, preferably with PRONTO experience (desirable) Current and valid driver’s licence National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening Why This Role?
