About the Venue Bistro Bondi is where old-world charm meets coastal cool, a relaxed yet refined spot with a short, seasonal menu made for sharing and a drinks list that complements it perfectly. Job Description: As the Assistant Manager, you'll be a key player in bringing our vision to life. From the ground up, you'll be involved in every aspect of the business and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the venue. Responsibilities: Assist in organising operational processes and setting service standards. Assist in hiring and training a passionate and skilled team to deliver exceptional service. Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the venue, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment. Assist in developing and implementing systems for managing front-of-house operations. Assist in managing inventory, ordering and cost control to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Foster excellent guest relationships by ensuring outstanding dining experiences and promptly addressing customer feedback. Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Ensure a positive and motivating work culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must have flexible availability including weekends, public holidays, and evenings. Australian work rights are required for this position.
