Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (up to 16/8/2026) – Job share may be considered Position Classification: Physiotherapist Level 4 Remuneration: $121,658.00 - $124,607.00 pa ( superannuation salary packaging options) Location: Orange, NSW – Find out more Hours Per Week: 38 Applications Close: 28 October 2025 – 11:59pm Senior Physiotherapist Mental Health Drug & Alcohol, Bloomfield Campus Orange About The Role The Physiotherapist – Senior Clinician in Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) is an exciting role that welcomes applications for both fulltime (preferred) and part time (considered) applications. This role would be suitable for someone with a versatile / generalist skill set in Physiotherapy that includes Musculoskeletal (acute to chronic), falls prevention, promoting physical activity, mobility reviews, geriatrics, neurological conditions, rehabilitation, managing cardiometabolic risk factors, sports, providing consultation and advice to own team or other staff, managing specific programs or services across wards and more. The Physiotherapist would be responsible for ensuring a high quality, evidence based service is provided to the inpatient units at Bloomfield Hospital - Orange Health Service. As the most senior clinician in this team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, the successful applicant(s) would be involved in leading and supporting a small team, fostering a positive culture, evaluate the service, and manage relationships with stakeholders across a vast range of clinical areas and wards. The successful applicant would have available support by the Allied Health team at Bloomfield Hospital – Orange Health Service and the Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology Department at the General Hospital - Orange Health Service. The MHDA team and service that you would lead consist of 2 Exercise Physiologists, 1 senior Physiotherapist (this role) and 1 rotating level 1 / 2 Physiotherapist. You will work closely with wards and staff across other disciplines in allied health, medicine, and nursing. There are excellent opportunities available to develop a combination of clinical and non-clinical skills as a senior member of Physiotherapy staff in WNSWLHD. There are numerous resources available to be utilised in this setting such as access to several gyms, bikes, sport fields, swimming pool, and sporting equipment as required. The setting itself, Bloomfield Hospital, is the largest rural Mental Health Campus in the country. The inpatient units provide a statewide or district service to adolescents, adults and older people with mental illnesses, mental disorders, drug and alcohol abuse and dependence.
