About The Role Tamworth Hospital is excited to be seeking their next nursing leader to join our team at as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of Medical 2 Ward. In this leadership role, you will lead a clinical services team to provide excellent patient care within a hospital environment in order to maximise the health outcomes for the community in which the clinical service functions. You will also effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the unit including clinical, operational and people management. On any given day, this looks like rostering and workforce management, supporting and mentoring junior staff, undertaking audits and so forth. You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the other NUM that you will be job sharing with, as well as fellow NUM’s on different wards, the Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DDONM) and the Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DONM). Ongoing professional development is not only supported, but actively encouraged. In addition, training and professional development plans will be developed and reviewed annually to ensure you are supported in your ongoing career goals.
