Join us as a Clinical Nurse Educator within the Tamworth Hospital Medical Unit. About The Role At Tamworth Hospital, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our Medical 2 team. As a member of this specialised unit, you will play a vital role in delivering competent nursing education to our team, which will in turn allow our team to provide care to patients with illness or injury, supporting them and their families through what is considered a very vulnerable time in their lives. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You won’t be working alone. You’ll be supported by the senior educators and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), who will provide mentorship and strategic guidance. A comprehensive orientation program will be available to familiarise yourself with hospital policies, unit-specific procedures, and educational frameworks. Key Responsibilities Planning and co-ordination of all aspects of clinical teaching and education in the Medical 2 Unit.Contribute to the development of colleagues and identify learning needsSupervise the rotation of studentsSupport the orientation of new staff to Tamworth Hospital and provide orientation relevant to their level of expertise.Provide day to day clinical education support and clinical supervision at the point of careProvide 1:1 informal educationProvide support for skill development in clinical procedures, professional development, clinical policy development and an in-service program forImplement and evaluate education programs As Our New Clinical Nurse Educator, You Will Demonstrate confidence in your skills and have the initiative to make decisions that directly impact patient care.Possess a strong worth ethic, demonstrating a commitment to their responsibilities and a willingness to go above and beyond when necessary.Be a true collaborator who enjoys being part of a team and working with others to contribute to the goals of the team.Articulate thoughts clearly, listen actively, and engage in meaningful conversations that enhance the patient experience and improve team dynamics. Essential Criteria Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA plus relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications and clinical experience.
