Rochedale South State School is seeking an instructional leader with strong interpersonal skills to join our highly effective leadership team as Head of Special Education Services. This position is being offered in a temporary full-time capacity until 4 December 2026, unless otherwise determined. About The Role As the Head of Special Education Services, you will possess strong knowledge of inclusive education and behavioral engagement support, applying a trauma-informed approach to managing complex student cases. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working in genuine partnership with families and external agencies. Your leadership will support and inspire staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture. The Head of Special Education Services is accountable to, and works under the direction of, the Principal or delegate. As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Lead programs that enhance learning outcomes for all studentsBuild teacher capability in inclusive practices and curriculum differentiationProvide complex case management for students, with experience in trauma-informed practiceDevelop strong relationships with families and external providers to deliver wraparound supportContribute to the leadership of the school through behaviour support, professional learning, and collaborative planning Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
