Job Description
Are you interested in supporting the smooth operation of school technology and leading our digital communications? As a Computer Assistant, you will assist with maintenance, repairs, and support services for school computers, networks, CCTV systems, and digital equipment, while taking the lead on digital marketing tasks such as website updates and managing communication platforms. In this role, you'll play a vital part in reducing downtime, supporting staff and students, and enhancing how our school shares achievements and connects with its community. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight. About The Role We are seeking a motivated Computer Assistant to join the team at Sarina State High School. In this role, you will assist in providing day-to-day maintenance, repair, and technical support for school ICT facilities, while also being responsible for the school's digital marketing and communications presence. This includes managing website updates, newsletters, and communication platforms that highlight student success, promote school initiatives, and keep our community informed. You will also play an important role in supporting the school's CCTV systems, ensuring they are functional, secure, and used appropriately in line with school requirements. Responsibilities Include Assist with regular maintenance and routine repairs of computers and associated equipment.Assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment and software.Take the lead on the school's digital marketing and communications, including website content, newsletters, and communication platforms.Provide technical input and assistance with networking computers and related equipment.Manage and monitor the use of CCTV systems, ensuring they operate effectively and securely.Maintain records of ICT equipment and order parts and computer stock as required. About You To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate Practical knowledge of ICT systems, hardware, and software.Skills in digital communication and marketing platforms (e.g. websites, newsletters, communication platforms, social media).Understanding of CCTV system management and security awareness.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities when supporting staff and students.
