James Nash State High School is seeking a dedicated school-based social worker to join our Student Wellbeing team. This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges. As part of the Student Wellbeing program, every Queensland primary and secondary state school is working towards access to a dedicated wellbeing professional. These roles focus on supporting students with mild to moderate mental health concerns, working within existing student support teams to enhance wellbeing services. We're currently recruiting both graduate and experienced social workers. In these roles, you'll support students' personal and social wellbeing through evidence-based, strengths-focused interventions, including counselling, therapeutic support, group work, and referral coordination.
