About Churchill Island Heritage Farm Churchill Island Heritage Farm is a working historic farm that showcases the history of European settlement in the area through its beautifully restored homestead, heritage-listed cottages and traditional farm buildings. Set on 50 hectares of farmland connected to Phillip Island by a bridge, Churchill Island offers visitors a chance to step back in time and experience life on a heritage farm. Daily demonstrations, including sheep shearing, cow milking and working dog displays, bring the farming story to life and provide authentic, hands-on experiences for visitors from around the world. About the Role As the Farm Lead, you will take an active role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Churchill Island Heritage Farm. Including farm management and maintenance tasks, ensuring that animal care, farming practices and site presentation reflect the values of a working heritage farm. Reporting to the Experience Supervisor, the Farm Lead supports the day-to-day operations of Churchill Island Heritage Farm. You will lead and support onsite staff and volunteers across a range of activities, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences, high standards of presentation, and smooth operational delivery. The role includes periods of acting in a higher duties capacity, overseeing the attraction in the absence of the Experience Supervisor. Applications close on Sunday 2nd November, 2025 Requirements Key Selection Criteria • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality customer service and engaging visitor experiences, ideally within tourism setting. • Experience working with farm animals and ability to ensure appropriate care of animals, including but not limited to shearing sheep. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in farm operations, including livestock, horses, crops, paddock management, and the safe use and maintenance of machinery and tools. • Intermediate computer skills (including with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook programs desirable). • Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a diverse team while achieving operational outcomes. • Demonstrated experience in providing engaging and informative tours/presentations/demonstrations (desirable) To commence your journey with us, the following is required: • Certificate IV in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or Farm Management, and/ or equivalent relevant experience. • Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) and/or equivalent experience in the safe handling and use of agricultural chemicals. • Working with Children Check • Drivers’ Licence • First Aid Level II and CPR
