Tio Tapas is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate trade qualified Chef to complete our team. The Position: We pride ourselves on quality food, beverage, and customer service and are looking for an outstanding Chef who has extensive experience in a variety of food operations. You are energetic, organised and self-motivated with strong leadership qualities. In this role it will be your responsibility to ensure quality and consistency are maintained across the board. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and career progression all packaged within an excellent company culture. This is a full time, 38 hour per week role. Key duties: • Creating menus, calculating food and labour costs, and arranging ingredient purchases • Overseeing food quality during preparation and presentation • Collaborating with managers, dietitians, kitchen and wait staff on food-related matters • Demonstrating cooking methods and providing culinary guidance • Preparing and cooking meals • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards • Recruiting and training kitchen staff • Managing the freezing and preservation of food items 1. The Person: Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager you will be able to work a rotating roster over 5 days including lunch and dinner. • You must be passionate about food and able to lead by example, with drive, enthusiasm and attention to detail. • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and develop staff and be adept at maintaining a positive team environment. • You must have the ability to work under pressure. • You must have successfully completed Cert IV in Commercial Cookery If you are looking for long term, stable employment with competitive remuneration please submit your application along with an updated resume and kick-start your new career with us.
